MSK Physiotherapy Service Standards Launching!

MSK Physiotherapy Service Standards Launching!

The CSP are pleased to announce they will be launching the MSK Physiotherapy Service Standards this Thursday 27th January. These standards are vital to provide organisations and MSK physiotherapy services a standardised way of measuring good practice and improving service delivery.

The Standards have gone through a rigorous development process led by Annette Bishop, commissioned researcher and lead author. Along with a working group whose membership included those with physiotherapy, patient, clinical, research and education focus. The Standards have been subject to a nationwide consultation with patient groups and a wide range of clinical and other professional individual and organisations covering health, the charitable sector, and commissioners.

Alongside the Standards the CSP are also publishing: video introductions to the Standards, top tips for implementing the Standards, examples of putting them into practice and the Standards Audit Tool. The Audit Tool is in its final stages of testing and will be available soon after publication.

The dedicated website will be live on Thursday 27th January: www.csp.org.uk/mskstandards

As a key stakeholder in this work, we’d like to say thank you for all your support in the development of this new publication. On the 27th we will be promoting the launch through our website, social and iCSP networks. Once live, please do share with your colleagues.

Please read and digest the standards and if you have any questions about the project or our plans for the future, please don’t hesitate to get in touch, MSKStandards@csp.org.uk
