Dr Jaj Mankelow is a Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist, a senior lecturer and early career researcher at Teesside University. Jaj’s research focuses on pain science education in different settings, from patient settings, healthcare professional settings and public health campaigns. Jaj has a particular interest in equitable delivery of care to ensure that all patient groups are well supported to manage their pain and any associated disabilities.

Dr Martin Rabey is a Specialist Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist (as awarded by the Australian College of Physiotherapists in 2009). He is a lecturer and Adjunct Research Fellow at Curtin University in Perth, Western Australia. He also works as an Advanced Practice Physiotherapist in Spinal Surgery at Royal Perth Hospital. Martin's research focuses on the assessment and management of multiple dimensions (e.g. Pain sensitivity, movement, psychosocial, health and lifestyle) associated with persistent pain, particularly low back pain.

Matthew Willett is a highly experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist having worked in Professional Sport, Private Practice, ESP/APP, and clinical research roles. For the past decade, he has led several Post Graduate programmes at the University of Birmingham, including the MACP approved MSc Advanced Manipulative Physiotherapy. Matthew’s research interests focus on two primary areas: promoting physical activity behaviours in chronic pain populations and targeted management of sporting injuries in professional athletes.

Matthew combines his academic work with Advanced Practice Physiotherapy work in the East Midlands region of England.

I am based in Brighton and work across east and west Sussex as an Advanced Physiotherapist, First Contact Physiotherapist, Upper limb lead and deputy Research and Innovation lead for the Sussex MSK Health team embedded in the Sussex Community NHS Foundation Trust.

I am passionate about research and innovation in our healthcare world. I have completed and published research using methodologies across different research paradigms, with a special interest in qualitative research and now use these knowledge and skills in driving research and innovation in the Sussex MSK health team. I also lead an upper limb team of advanced MSK practitioners and translate the latest research into practice with my team to impact patient care and am actively supporting team members in research, audit and innovation. I am also interested in community, health and green spaces and have started working with the Sussex Community Trust's 'care without carbon' team and local activity groups. I have been a long term member of the MACP and have always taken an interest in it's activity. I wish to combine my passion for research, interests, specialties and the MACP to become an active and helpful member of the MACP research Committee.
