Level 2 Research Award

The MACP research committee aims to support research in the field of neuromusculoskeletal physiotherapy, and promote research-related activities.
Criteria for Applications
Applications will be considered from physiotherapists who are full, associate or affiliate members of the MACP. Applications should be for one or more of the activities below:
- Courses that support research
- Travel and accommodation to support access to conferences/courses that support Research
- Expenditure for the development and undertaking of research
- Presentation/publication costs
- Disseminating research to the general public
Retrospective applications will not be considered.
Preference will be given to applications that address and supportcurrent research priorities.
Applicants will be required to complete a 1000-word supporting statement indicating how the award meets the above criteria.
Judgement of Applications

Applications will be judged by the MACP Research committee

Judgment will normally be conveyed in writing to the applicant within 6 weeks of the deadline.

The decision of the research committee will be final and no correspondence with the applicant will be entered into.

The awards will be announced at the MACPAGM, where the successful applicant (or nominated representative) will be presented with the award.
Conditions of the Award

Any publications, posters, or press releases that relate to work supported by the award should acknowledge the MACP.

The successful applicant will be required to produce a 1000-word report, which will be uploaded to the MACP website and sent out on twitter, within three months of completing the period of study.

The applicant will also be expected to produce a presentation and/or podcast for MACP members

Any applicant not meeting this requirement will be normally required to reimburse the MACP for the full amount of the award.

Application Procedure
- A CV (not exceeding two sides of A4) should be submitted with the application form.
- Within the breakdown of costs, please note that travel and accommodation expenses should be kept to a minimum (for example, second-class rail, standard mileage, and budget accommodation).
Payment of monies
Monies will only be paid once confirmation of acceptance or attendance at the conference/meeting has been received
