Physiotherapy Diagnosis and Management of Lumbar Nerve Root Irritation by Experienced Musculoskeletal Physiotherapists: A Descriptive Study
Dear Physiotherapist,
My name is Victoria Chapman. I work as a Senior Physiotherapist in an NHS Physiotherapy Out-patient Department. I am currently undertaking an MSc in Advancing Practice at Birmingham University.
For my dissertation I am researching the physiotherapy diagnosis and management of lumbar nerve root irritation by experienced musculoskeletal physiotherapists. There is currently a lack of baseline information regarding the physiotherapy management of lumbar nerve root irritation which I am hoping this study will provide. It may also help inform physiotherapy practice.
You are invited to volunteer to take part in this study if you are an associate member/member of the MACP working in a musculoskeletal field.
If you do fulfil these criteria I would be extremely grateful if you would volunteer and take the time to complete my questionnaire via e-mail which will take approximately 15 minutes. In order to receive a copy of the questionnaire please e-mail me your details to VJC671@bham.ac.uk
The study should be complete by September 2009
It is hoped that the findings will be disseminated either through publication in Manual Therapy or poster presentation at the MACP conference once the outcome of the dissertation is known.
