Overview of the course philosophy
This scheme is designed to address the needs of contemporary physiotherapy practice. Management of neuromusculoskeletal problems is a rapidly changing and developing, complex part of practice. The philosophy underpinning this scheme is one of facilitation of independent learning, personal and professional development, exploring the evidence base for practice whilst enhancing specialist clinical skills. Implicit within the philosophy is the need for physiotherapists to value continuing professional development, understand the importance of reflection in practice and the place of research in the continued development of the profession.
