Overview of the course philosophy
The course provides an opportunity for Chartered Physiotherapists to develop their knowledge and understanding of manipulative physiotherapy and the concepts underpinning its practice. It aims to provide a framework for student learning through which Chartered Physiotherapists will have the opportunity to develop their expertise in the examination, assessment and treatment skills of patients with neuromusculoskeletal dysfunction.

Mode of attendance
Full time over 1 year or part time up to 6 years

Methods of assessment
A variety of assessment methods are used and include: practical examination, clinical examination, coursework and case studies.

Clinical practice component
Two clinical placements, each of 90 hours duration. Placements can be taken full time over 3 weeks or part time. Students organise their own placement at a time that suits them.

Exemptions to MACP membership
Eligible for Associate membership at the commencement of the course
Membership of the MACP upon successful completion of the Postgraduate Diploma element of the course.
